Fixes & new features

Already have a website? We’ll make it work better.

Bug fixes, new features, layout and mobile fixes, speed and integrations — on WordPress and almost any other web stack.

In short

DJWP fixes and extends existing websites, including sites built by other developers. We work on WordPress, WooCommerce, Laravel, custom PHP, JavaScript and React front-ends, static sites and most CMS platforms. Every job starts with a review of the code, so the estimate is based on what is actually there.

Is this for you?

  • Something on your website is broken and the original developer is gone
  • You need a new feature, form or integration without rebuilding everything
  • The site looks wrong on phones, loads slowly or fails after an update

Problems we solve

Sound
familiar?

The original developer is gone

The original developer is no longer available, and there is little documentation. Your team cannot tell how the site works or which changes might affect other pages.

An update broke something

After a WordPress, plugin or PHP update, a page shows errors, a form stops sending or the layout breaks. You cannot tell which change caused the problem.

You need one feature, not a new website

You need a booking form, calculator, new section or CRM connection on a site that otherwise works. You are unsure whether the existing setup can support the addition.

Mobile layout and speed hurt results

On phones, menus overlap, forms are difficult to use or pages take too long to load. Visitors struggle to read the offer or complete the task they came for.

What you get

Deliverables.
Clearly defined.

  • Bug and error fixes — PHP, JavaScript, layoutFrom fatal errors and white screens to small layout glitches, fixed at the cause and checked across the pages that share the same code.
  • New features, pages, forms and integrationsBuilt to match the existing design and code style, so the addition feels native and can be maintained later.
  • Responsive layout and cross-browser fixesPages checked on phones, tablets and desktop browsers, with fixes for overflow, spacing, menus and forms.
  • Speed and Core Web Vitals improvementsImage, script and font optimization, caching and server adjustments, with before-and-after lab tests and available real-user data reviewed separately.
  • Version updates, security fixes and hosting movesPlanned software updates or hosting moves, with compatibility checks and testing of affected features, DNS, HTTPS and email where relevant.
  • Work on a staging copy first, then a careful releaseChanges are made and tested on a copy of the site, then released with a backup in place and a check of the live pages.

How we build

The approach,
in detail.

  • Read before changing

We try to reproduce the problem and review the relevant code, hosting setup and recent changes. This establishes what is known, what still needs investigation and what can reasonably be included in the proposed work.

  • Causes, not symptoms

We trace the reported behavior through the relevant code and services before choosing a fix. If the cause involves an outside provider or unsupported software, we explain the dependency and the options available.

  • Plan the release

We agree what needs checking before a change goes live and how it could be reversed. The release plan considers active orders, submissions and other live data that a simple file rollback would not cover.

  • Plain explanations

We explain what the investigation found, what changed and how the fix was checked. Any unresolved issue or outside dependency is recorded separately, so you know what still needs attention after the work is handed over.

How we work together.

  1. Review the issue

Send a link and a short description; we look at the site and the code.

  2. Agree scope & estimate

You get a clear list of what we’ll change and what it costs.

  3. Fix & test on staging

Changes are made and checked on a copy, not on your live site.

  4. Release & check

We deploy carefully and verify everything works in production.

Questions

Questions about
this service.

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly — we usually reply within one business day.

Ask about your project
Do you work on websites built by other developers?

Yes. Most fix-and-improve projects start with someone else’s code. We review it first, explain what we find and only then estimate the work.

Is it only WordPress?

No. Besides WordPress and WooCommerce we work with Laravel, custom PHP, JavaScript and React front-ends, static HTML/CSS sites and most popular CMS platforms.

Can you take a small task?

Yes. A single bug, a form or a layout fix is a normal request. Send us the link and a short description.

What should we send when asking for a fix?

Send the page address, what you expected, what happened and the steps that trigger the problem. Screenshots, error messages and recent changes also help. Start with that information; we will explain what access is needed and how to share it securely if work proceeds.

What happens after we report an issue?

We usually reply within one business day. That reply helps clarify the issue and the access needed to assess it. Starting work depends on availability, the problem and the agreed scope. A reply does not mean investigation or repair has already begun.

Can you fix a site that was hacked?

Yes, in most cases. We remove malicious code, find and close the entry point, update affected software and reset compromised accounts. How much can be recovered depends on the damage and the backups available, so we assess the site first and agree the scope with you.
